
This important forum was primarily designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the GNOC's activities, achievements, and challenges over the past six months.
It was also to facilitate inclusive and open dialogue to ensure that the perspectives of all National Associations are heard and integrated into the strategic priorities moving forward.
The one day gathering also provided an opportunity to share information on the various funding opportunities available through GNOC, including clear guidelines on application processes, eligibility criteria, and reporting requirements to enable all federations/associations to effectively access and utilise these resources for their athletes and programmes.
Speaking at the gathering, the president of Gambia National Olympic Committee, Bai Dodou Jallow, called on National Federations and Associations to be proactive and continue to work cordially with the NOC.
"A special package is approved to support the activities of our members and this is what we intend to continue doing," he disclosed.
GNOC 2nd Vice President Bakary K. Jammeh made a presentation on the 10 Action Points.
Key among the pillars was to promote good governance in GNOC and NFs, financial support and revenue generation; promoting diversity, inclusivity and championing women in sports.
The Action points also include promoting community service and IOC sustainability programme, as GNOC pledged to promote sports safeguarding and ethical behaviour.
Partnership with stakeholders and government would be key priority in the Action Points. The NOC will also put focus to international success in order to increase the medal counts at international games and competitions.
Treasurer Bai Madi Ceesay presented on funding guidelines to access to financial support. NAs are urged to adhere to the guidelines to have easy access to the financial support. Ceesay emphasized transparency and accountability as key in that regard.
Innovative resource mobilisation, gender inclusivity and demonstration of activeness were highlighted in his presentation that would form a key requirements to access financial support from the NOC.
Secretary General Yorro Njie made an overview presentation on activities and administrative operation.
Key highlights include coordination and establishing various commissions and the election of athletes commission.
Within the past 6 months, the NOC supported technical courses for volleyball and celebration of International Olympic Day was held in Basse. The report also highlighted support rendered to national associations to carry out their activities.
1st Vice President Lamin King Colley presented on the importance of Mass Participation in the Sport Eco System and Communities.
King highlighted NOC’s recent support to mass sport programmes such as NAYCONF, May Day and Inter School Athletics Championship. He talked on the continued partnership with government to enhance mass sport and renewed his committee’s commitment to the development of mass sport in the Gambia
CDMs for Islamic Games and African School Games both gave synopsis of Gambia's preparations ahead of the games.
Executive Director Muhammed K. Janneh presented the Olympic Solidarity Programme that includes

- Continental Programmes
- Finance Conditions
The presentation gave audiences a clear understanding of the OS programme and what support available.
GNOC plans to continue engaging its members in order to enhance good governance, transparency and accountability.
