Badjie was speaking during a visit to his office in Banjul on Tuesday by the School of Social Sciences and Humanities Students' Association of the University of The Gambia.
He expressed his commitment to nurturing and developing young people through education, leadership, sports and skills development.
Badjie assured of his ministry’s open door policy and would continue to work closely with tertiary institutions to strengthen youth leadership, academic excellence and community service.
He expressed his ministry's readiness to invest in young people.
Badjie reiterated his dedication and encouraged students to remain critically serious with their studies, adding that his ministry is ready to give back to society.
He expressed his unwavering commitment and support to student initiatives in the country.
"Youth played meaningful roles in nation-building and national development," minister Badjie said.
Meanwhile, students from School Sciences at the University of The Gambia recently visited Minister Badjie to honour him with a certificate of appreciation for his contribution to youth empowerment and development in The Gambia.
School of Sciences at the University of The Gambia cited minister Badjie's notable programmes geared towards creating opportunities for young people across the country.
The delegation was led by SoSHSA president Sainey M. Saho.
The delegation presented a certificate of appreciation to Minister Badjie for his contribution to the development of young people in The Gambia.
Deputy Permanent secretary (technical), Lamin J. Gassama, commended students for acknowledging public service, while calling for a stronger partnership between government institutions and student bodies to advance youth development in The Gambia
