BST bounces back, BK Milan beaten in GFF 2nd Division League

BST Galaxy bounced back from their consecutive previous defeats, while BK Milan were beaten during the week-24 fixture of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League played on Wednesday.

BST Galaxy bounced back from their previous defeats after beating Young Africans 2-0 during a game played at the KG5 Mini Stadium in Banjul.

Modou Lamin Ceesay and Muhammed Hydara scored for BST in the 41st and 47th minutes of the match.

The victory puts BST Galaxy at 4th position with 39 points while Young Africans dropped to 16th position with 23 points.

Elsewhere, BK Milan were beaten 2-1 by the Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

Abdoulie Bah guided the Ferry Boys to their victory after scoring a brace in the 17th and 62nd minutes, while Saikouba Ceesay scored the only goal for the Kachikally-based team in the 42nd minute.

The result maintained BK Milan at 2nd position with 43 points while GPA also maintain their 5th position with 39 points.

Gunjur United defeated B4U Kiang West 2-0 during a game played at the Soma Mini Stadium.

Moses Jatta opened the scoring for Gunjur United in the 10th minute before Sheriffo Keita sealed their victory in the 25th minute.

Gunjur United occupy 11th position with 31 points while B4U Kiang West maintain second from bottom (17th) position with 21 points.

Elite United were held to a 1-1 draw by Bombada FC during a game played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

Bombada opened the scoring through Lamin Colley in the 18th minute while Ebrima Janneh levelled for Elite United in the 22nd minute.

Elite United have now collected 41 points and sit at 3rd position while Bombada collected 35 points.
