Sateba boys, Brikama United beat Banjul United 4-2 in the first rescheduled game played on Friday.
The Banjul-based team took the lead in the 24th minute, while Brikama United responded with three quick goals in the 35th, 43rd and 45+1 minutes before going for the break.
The Sateba boys continued from where they stopped in the first period by firing their fourth goal in the 48th minute. Banjul United scored their second consolation goal in the 73rd minute.
The victory was the second for Brikama United, while Banjul United conceded to their fifth defeats of the season.
Brikama United who is one of the two sides yet to taste defeat in the league, overall collected secured two wins and five draws, while Banjul conceded five defeats, two draws and registered two wins in 9 matches.
The result moved Brikama United to 5th position with 11 points leveled with Steve Biko, while Banjul United dropped to 11th position with 8 points leveled with The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) and Fortune.
Elsewhere, struggling side, Team Rhino also recorded their second win of the season after defeating Marimoo 1-0 in a game played on Saturday.
Lamin Conteh’s second half header gave debutant side Team Rhino all the important three points.
Team Rhino now registered their second win of the season while Marimoo suffered their fourth defeats of the season.
Wellingara-based side Team Rhino collected two wins, three draws and suffered three defeats, while Manjai-based team Marimoo conceded four defeats, three draws and one win in 8 matches.
Team Rhino moved to 8th position with 9 points, while Marimoo FC dropped to 14th position with 6 points.
At the time of going to press yesterday, Gamtel FC was playing against league leaders Falcon at the Late Ousman Saho field in Old Yundum.
Telecommunication boys, Gamtel were sitting 12th position with 7 points, while the Blue Armed, Falcons FC sit at the top of the league with 16 points.
Meanwhile, today, Monday, The Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) will take on Samger at the Late Ousman Saho field in Old Yundum.
Ferry boys, GPA occupy 7th position with 10 points, while Academy boys, Samger sit second-from-bottom-(15th) position with 5 points.
