Hon. Abdou Jobe, Minister for Tourism and Culture, also addressed attendees, highlighting the strategic importance of City Center’s location. He emphasised that private sector investments such as this play a pivotal role in enhancing the tourism experience and reinforcing The Gambia’s reputation as a dynamic destination for both business and leisure.
Mr. Ali Essaili, General Manager of City Center, opened the ceremony by expressing gratitude to the Barrow administration for the enabling environment conducive to both local and international investment. He reaffirmed the Essaili family’s dedication to upholding high service standards and contributing meaningfully to national development.
Speaking on behalf of the employees of the Essaili Group, Mr. Mustapha Joof thanked the family for their continued fairness, care, and support towards staff. He voiced optimism that these values would remain central to operations at the new facility.
