CA$HUP Company poised to ensure affordable financial services

In their bid to ensure easy access to quality and affordable finance services while reducing turn-around time, CA$HUP Company, a fast-rising financial institution in the country has embarked on regional expansion with the recent inauguration of its first-regional branch in Brikama, West Coast Region.

The move, is part of the company’s broader drive to bring their services to the door step of the population, thus promoting fast-track inclusive growth and development in The Gambia.

CA$HUP, a Fintech Company was incorporated on the 14 of June 2022 in The Gambia. The company was accredited as a payment and transfer service provider by The Central Bank of The Gambia and is Licensed to operate as a Mobile Money Operator.

Inaddition, the Company has developed three distinct e-wallet applications, namely the CA$HUP wallet (Customer App), CA$HUP Agent (the Agent App) and CA$HUP Business (the Merchant App). These Applications combined will enable the customer, businesses and Agents transact with ease.

At the inauguration of the regional branch in Brikama, Ebrima Jammeh, managing Director of Company, revealed that the institution aims to better the lives of the people through innovative  and easy payment solutions, safe deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
“The company is conceived in line with the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS), which aims to increase access and usage of quality affordable financial services that will ensure poverty reduction and fast track inclusive growth and development.”
 
CA$HUP’s objective, he added, is  to make financial services accessible, affordable and reliable for the vast majority of the unbanked population of The Gambia to enable merchants receive payments for their goods and services with ease, thus mitigating fraud and cost associated with handling of physical cash by merchants.
 
Also speaking, Ousman Bojang, Governor of the West Coast Region, underscored the significance of the company’s working relationship  with  the Central Bank of The Gambia, acknowledging that it has enhanced ground for the facilitation of the financial institution.

While expressing gratitude towards the opening of that regional branch in Brikama, Governor Bojang described the town as epicentre of business and a great source for market.

He thus implored on the company to explore the opportunity as the population of the region can surely boost its financial strength in the market.
