BFoTG gives medical items to New Yundum H/C

The Belgian Friends of The Gambia (BFoTG) recently presented medical and educational items to New Yundum Health Centre and Lower Basic School in the West Coast Region.

The items donated include computers, hygienic pads for women, baby clothing, wheelchairs, bandages items for treating sounds. 

At the handing over ceremonies held at both the health Center and School premises in New Yundum, Patrick De Vos, chairman, Belgium Friends of The Gambia (BFoTG), expressed his organization’s gratitude to the staff of the both health center and the school for warm welcome accorded to his team members.

The Belgian philanthropist informed the school authorities that his charity is sponsoring 280 students from Nursery to Senior Secondary Schools in the country.

Mr. De Vos promised that come next year, his organization will shipped a container loaded with medical items to The Gambia purposely to support New Yundum Health Center.

According to him, his organization saw needs for the health facility to be well equipped with medicaments to deliver to patients.

BFoTG also made similar presentation to its sponsored student’s at Latri-kunda Sabiji Upper Basic School, St. Therese’s Lower Basic School, Bakoteh Upper Basic School, Nyodema Nursery school, Bakoteh Annex Lower Basic School, Bakoteh Proper Lower Basic school as well as a visit to organization’s project site at Widdar Nursery School in Region one.

They also have some sponsored students at Jambangjelly Nursery school, Sifoe Lower Basic School and New Yundum Lower Basic school all in Region two.

The Belgian philanthropist spoke of his charity’s resolve to a computer Lab at St. Therese’s Lower Basic school, saying this year, the charity brought 70 desktops, 20 Laptops, 50 screens, 5 expensive IMac's, 25 new keyboards, mouse, headphones, VGA cables and power cables.
