Belgian Friends of The Gambia (BFoTG), an international organization, on Sunday put smiles on the faces of its 47 sponsored students attending Nyodema Nursery and Bakoteh Annex Lower Basic School by distributing 33 bags of 50 kg rice, educational, health and agricultural items among them.

Patrick De Vos, chairman of BFoTG, called on sponsored students and their parents to always send their school academic reports to their Belgian sponsors on time.

“Show the same concern you have in coming to collect your children sponsorship packages by sending your children academic reports and “Thank You Letters” to their sponsors on time,” he told parents.

Kaddijatou Camara, senior teacher at Nyodema Nursery School, commended their Belgian friends for the help they are offering to students of her school.

She expressed gratitude and thanked to the Belgian sponsors for their continuous support to the school for the past years.

She described the Belgium Friend’s intervention to Gambia’s education sector as something that has enable sponsored children to get quality education that could not have been possible without them (BFoTG).

Madam Camara hailed Belgian Friends for changing the lives of the future leaders of The Gambia.

She equally appealed to parents of sponsored students to support their children’s education at all time.

“It is incumbent upon you (parents) to take ownership and responsibilities in impacting good behaviours in your children and ensuring they succeed in their education," she advised.
