He made this statement during an adjournment of the First Ordinary Session of the 2025 Legislative Year.
Hon. Jallow, known for his unwavering support for the current administration, delivered a scathing critique of the government's development record.
He argued that despite decades of promises, Jarra Central has seen little to no improvement in its infrastructure, leaving its residents struggling with lack of roads and electricity among others.
"This constituency has always stood behind the president," he declared, "but we are at a crossroads. We cannot continue to be loyal while our needs are ignored. If we do not see concrete development before the next election, our votes will go elsewhere," he warned.
“It is a pity that when I asked a parliamentary question to the minister of Works about the roads of Kabada, Jara Central, his response was, “there were no funds.”
He noted that “we are with our voters cards, and this time round, we are not going to make it any negotiable thing, absolutely, no development, no vote.”
“If you go into the area of electricity, there has been no electricity since independence. They brought electricity close to Kabada, and that suddenly stopped with an excuse that we are supposed to wait for the second phase.”
“We are ever since waiting for the second phase to see whether our dreams will come true,” he laments.
He acknowledged the infrastructural development the president is making in the country. However, he urged him to consider his constituency as well.
