The communication strategy, hailed as first of its kind aims to ensure that GIEPA’s vision, mission, and goals are effectively aligned within the framework of GiEPA’s mandate in the next five years.
The communication strategy seeks to build stakeholder awareness of GIEPA’s initiatives, services, and contributions to national development; strengthen internal and external communication channels, ensuring a seamless flow of information for a more recognisable brand and wider visibility, while positioning GiEPA as a credible authority in investment and export promotion.
It also aims to foster stakeholder engagement through two-way communication, addressing concerns and building relationships; support policy advocacy by using communication to influence policymakers and promote a conducive business environment.
If implemented, the five-year communication strategy will reinforce GiEPA’s credibility and trust by providing transparent, accurate, and timely information and tailor communication efforts to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders for effective and impactful messaging.
“This assignment is both timely and strategic. As GIEPA continues to play a central role in investment promotion, export development, enterprise support, and the coordination of industrial and economic zones, effective communication becomes critical to the successful delivery of our mandate, Madi Kambia, director of Economic and Industrial Zones, on behalf of the CEO said.
“A well-articulated Communication Strategy will enhance our visibility, improve stakeholder engagement, strengthen investor confidence, and ensure consistency in our messaging across sectors and audiences.”
“We commend GIRAV for supporting the development of this Communication Strategy and Action Plan, and we acknowledge the Consultancy Team for the work undertaken in preparing the draft document now before us.”
“Today’s workshop provides an essential platform for collective reflection, validation, and refinement of the proposed strategy to ensure that it is practical, inclusive, and aligned with national development priorities, particularly in the areas of agricultural transformation, private sector development, and inclusive growth.”
Ernest Aubee, vice chair, GiEPA Board of Directors, urged participants to actively engage in meaningful discussions for a better document.
