Gambia confirms 2 new covid-19 cases

Dr. Mustapha Bittaye, the acting director of Health Services has confirmed to The Point the registration of two new cases of covid-19 in The Gambia.

The patients were a 50-year-old Gambian male who returned from Senegal and put quarantine on 10 June. The other one was a 27-year-old man, a Gambian, who was also put under quarantine after returning from Senegal.

These two new covid-19 cases bring Gambia’s total number of coronavirus infections to 30, with one death.

Senegal confirms 83 new cases of covid-19

Ministry of Health of Senegal yesterday recorded 83 positive cases of covid-19, which bring the country’s total number of infections to 5,173, 64 deaths, 3,424 recovered and 1, 684 hospitalised.
