A court in Tambacounda, eastern province of Senegal has discharged Sulayman Trawally, a Gambian national, who was allegedly kidnapped by Senegalese gendarme last month.
The patients were a 50-year-old Gambian male who returned from Senegal and put quarantine on 10 June. The other one was a 27-year-old man, a Gambian, who was also put under quarantine after returning from Senegal.
These two new covid-19 cases bring Gambia’s total number of coronavirus infections to 30, with one death.
Senegal confirms 83 new cases of covid-19
Ministry of Health of Senegal yesterday recorded 83 positive cases of covid-19, which bring the country’s total number of infections to 5,173, 64 deaths, 3,424 recovered and 1, 684 hospitalised.

According to the reports, Gambians and other African nationals have been subjected to forceful eviction, quarantine and multiple compulsory tests for the coronavirus by local authorities.
The National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC) is working on plans to upgrade the Musa Molloh tomb.
The upgrading of the tomb will further help to interpret and promote the heritage of Musa Molloh, the Gambian anti colonial fighter and warrior.
