Ya Sarah was admired for her warm smile, kindness, and generosity. She embraced both Christians and Muslims in The Gambia, extending friendship and goodwill across communities.
Her devotion to the Holy Rosary was a defining aspect of her faith. She carried it everywhere as a sign of her commitment to the Blessed Virgin Mary, making it a constant expression of her spiritual life.
She also gave many years of her working life to the British High Commission in The Gambia, serving in the Visa Section and other departments before her retirement.
Her passing leaves a significant void in the lives of many, including journalists who often met and interviewed her during festive seasons. She was remembered as gracious, welcoming, and always willing to engage.
Prayers have been offered that the angels receive her soul, and that the Holy Rosary accompany her on her journey to Heaven.
