Barrow declares Monday as holiday for Eid al-Adha

State House, Banjul, 7th July 2022: Following the Supreme Islamic Council’s confirmation that Friday is Arafat day and Saturday 9th July as Eid Al-Adha, the Office of the President informs the general public that His Excellency President Adama Barrow has declared Monday 11th July 2022, as Public Holiday throughout the country, in observance of the Muslim feast of Eid al-Adha, commonly known as “Tobaski”.

The Office of the President wishes all Gambians and friends of The Gambia celebrating at home and abroad, a blessed Eid Mubarak.
