Youth Convicted For Stealing Motor Batteries

One Lamin Kujabi was on Wednesday 2nd December 2009 convicted and sentenced by the Brikama Magistrates' Court to a fine of D5000, in default to serve one year in jail for stealing from a motor vehicle.

Mr. Kujabi was convicted upon his plea of guilt by Magistrate Amadi.

According to the particulars of offence, on 25th November 2009, at Gunjur Village in Kombo South District, Western Region, the convict Lamin Kujabi, stole 3 motor batteries, valued at D6, 200 from two vehicles, with registration numbers: BJL 3730 F and BJL 46 53 F, belonging to Alhagie Nyassi and Abdoulie Sumareh, respectively.

The court also ordered for the items to be released to their respective owners.
