Young Africans slip to KGI in GFF FA Cup

The 2009 FA Cup champions, Young Africans, lost to struggling second division side KGI 2-0 in the 2014-2015 Gambia Football Federation FA Cup preliminary tie played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda, at the weekend.

The victory has earned the Bakau-based outfit a place in the next round, following their slender win over the Banjul-based outfit in the preliminaries.

The defeat saw the Banjul-based outfit out of the FA Cup competition, meaning they will hang their boots until next season and will now switch their attention to the second tier.

Young Africans won their first-ever FA Cup titlein 2009, following theirpenalty shoot-out win over Gamtel, after a goalless draw in regulation time in the final game played at the Serrekunda East mini stadium.
