The Young Journalists Association of The Gambia (YJAG) has issued a press release to mourn the sudden death of one of its members.
The Young Journalists Association of The Gambia (YJAG) learnt with sorrow the sudden demise of a colleague Ms. Josephine John, a former reporter with Today Newspaper.
"YJAG hereby extends its deepest condolence to the deceased's family and the entire media fraternity," says a release.
According to Nfamara Jawneh, the President of YJAG, Josephine is an active member of the association and a dedicated, honest and hardworking journalist.
"Her dead is not only a big lost to her family but to the entire media fraternity in The Gambia," said Mr. Jawneh.
"I have high regards for her journalistic capability", YJAG leader affirmed.
Josephine, aged, 20 died last month and was laid to rest in Serrekunda.
In a similar vein, YJAG will also like to extend its condolence and sympathy to its Secretary-General, Demba Kandeh, who lost his mother on Thursday 4th September 2009.
