WYDA embark on their annual cleaning exercises

Weeders Youth Development Association (WYDA), in collaboration with a female youth group called “Say-Wura-Say Kafoo” of Toubakolong Village over the weekend embarked on their annual cleansing exercises “Set-Setal” to clean the environment of institutions, project structures and the streets of the Village.

President of the association Mr Dembo King Camara gave a brief history of the association and its goals.

According to him, the association started as a self-reliance group from childhood where they will plough for the farmers during the rainy season in order to earn their living for their domestic use.

Mr. Camara explained that the association goal is to improve the living conditions of the community most especially women and children welfare for the betterment of the village.

Mr Kebba Boto Ceesay president of Future 4All Foundation the sole sponsor of Toubakolong Health Post, Nursery School, Village Market, Village Poultry Farm and many other projects thanked the Weeders Youths for their foresight, good will and hearts for the advancement of their community, he urged other associations and clubs to emulate Weeders as they always caught their Village by surprise.

Bafoday Fofana, and his staff at the Toubalong health post expressed delight and appreciation to the association’s efforts towards the community clinic and its surrounding village. Busairy Jatta, a female leader of the Village shared the same sentiment, she label Weeders has a unique and incomparable association in Upper Niumi District.
