Sheriff Njie and Aziz Cham on 11 June 2014 denied entering American University with intent to steal.
They denied the allegation before Magistrate Fatou Darboe of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.
The charge sheet prepared by the prosecuting officer, Corporal 2717 Jallow, stated that the accused persons on 2 June 2014, at the American International University in the Kanifing Municipality, entered the building of the university with a metal with intent to commit a felony, therein to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence.
The accused persons were granted bail of D10,000 each with a Gambian surety who should swear to an affidavit of means and also deposit his or her ID card.
The case was adjourned for hearing.
