Forty
Economies (countries) in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, North America, and other
parts of the World have made 62 legal reforms to advance Women economic
participation, a new World bank study
has said.
The
Washington January 14th 2020 survey has
it that the
regulatory environment for Women
economic participation has
improved over the past two years, with 40
Economies(Countries) enacting 62Legal reforms that will help Women who
are regarded as half of the World’s population to realize their potential and
contribute to economic development and growth.
“When
Women can move more freely, work outside the home and manage assets they are
more likely to join the workforce to strengthen the Economies of their
Countries,” President of the World bank group, David Malpass said.
“We
stand ready to help until every Woman can move through her life without facing
Legal barriers to her success,” he pledges.
Chief
Economist of the World Bank Pinelopi Kaujianou Goldberg said the study helps
them to understand where laws facilitate or hinders Women economic
participation.
