The Acting Chairman of Kanifing East Youth Development Society (KEYDS), Mr Cherno Jallow, has called on Government departments, individual philanthropists and NGO's to help his youth group refurbish their office located at Kanifing Community Centre.
Mr Jallow, who was speaking to Youth Forum recently in an interview at his office in Kanifing, revealed that KEYDs was formed with the ultimate goal of enhancing youth participation in national development.
He added that as young people he has no doubt when empowered they can fully contribute their quota as youths to the nation. Mr Jallow noted that an office was allocated to his society at the youth centre but lacks office equipment.
He pointed out that if young people are help to realise their dreams it will go a long way in enhancing their participation in national development. Acting KEYDS chairman however noted that his society is in urgent need of furniture and office equipment to enable them to carry out their programmes of activities.
For his part, Ceedy Sambou, public relations officer also made similar remarks.
He added that helping them with furniture would go along way in complementing the society's effort to contribute to socio economic development of the country.
