Woman in court for allegedly causing grievous bodily harm

A woman called Adama Darboe was recently granted court bail of D50,000 with two Gambian sureties.

Adama Darboe was arraigned before Principal Magistrate Hilary Abeke of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm, a charge she denied.

The prosecutors alleged that the accused, Adama Darboe, on 13 May 2015 at Lamin village in Kombo North district of the West Coast Region, assaulted her boyfriend, Modou Darboe, by stabbing him with a knife in his hands and the back, and thereby caused him grievous bodily harm.
