The rape case involving one Lamin Sanyang recently continued at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul with the cross-examination of a prosecution witness.
Testifying, Fatou Nyang, a witness, told the court the accused person is a neighbour, adding that she was not present when the accused allegedly raped the victim.
She however stated that there was evidence that the accused had raped the victim, because the medical examination report could confirm it.
The witness admitted she was informed by the victim that she was raped by the accused. Fatou also said the accused used to live in their compound but had transferred and the children used to visit him there frequently.
The case continues.
