Western Region Inter School Football Hit-up

Sifoe Senior Secondary School last Wednesday defeated Mayork Senior Secondary 1-0 in the preliminaries encounter of the ongoing Gambia Secondary School Sports association trust bank sponsored Gambia inter school football tourney at Mayork Football Field.

The first half was totally dominate by Mayork Senior Secondary School and they made some occasional goal attempt but were unable to capitalise on their chances.

In the resumption of the second half, Sifoe who were defending most part of the game and they often break on counter attacks and as a result opened the scored through defender Ebrima Touray in the 65th minute of the game from spectacular free kick. Mayork Senior Secondary School fought back and creates clear dead opportunities but failed to score

The winners of the preliminaries will represent Western Region against Schools in the KMC and Banjul respectively later this year.
