As the campaign for the cadet world cup hit up, our Baby Scorpion are spearing no time within in organising test matches in order to maintain the scintillating performance they put up in the last continental showpiece that show them being crowned as champions of Africa.
Under the guardians of the Assistant Coach Lamin Sambou, the African U-17 cadet champions on Wednesday 3 June 2009 were involved in a warm-up game with the GFA Division One giants Bakau United, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
Buba Jallow of the academy side Samger, who is currently being invited to the team scored a brace in the second period to ensure conformably 2-0 victory for the Darling Scorpions over Bakau United.
Within a short space of time, the Samger hit man drilled home two superb close-range efforts to sealed victory for the Scorpions.
Meanwhile, Bakau United who are using this friendly game as part of the preparation for the FA cup competition occasionally threatens to level the score, but poor finishing was a problem, especially when Striker Aziz Jeng twice failed to capitalised on his side best changes mid-way through the second period.
Other invited players that played against Bakau United on Wednesday are Babu Sama of Armed Forces, and Buba Jalow and Lamin Samaeh, both from Samger.
