The impressive West Coast Radio Station football team will meet in-form Kids With Talents Radio station in the semi final clash of the ongoing Late Fatou Mbye memorial football tournament on Wednesday morning at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.
West Coast Radio under the guidance of Lamin tactician Abdoulie Bah led a hard fought encounter and in the process went home with a deserved two-nil victory at the expense of their fellow journalists as they booked their ticket to the semi final to be played on Wednesday at 9.00am.
Goals from Ebrima Sanneh and captain Alagie Fatty ensured the presenters are through to the semis where they will rub shoulders with their fellow presenters Unique Fm who also eased pass Teranga FM in the other knockout clash at the Serekunda East Mini Satdium on Sunday to set the stage for what promises to produce a cracking semi final tie.
The final is scheduled for Saturday 11th December 2011 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
In a separate development, the organizing committee of the Late Fatou Mbye memorial football tournament have unanimously agreed not to consider any appeal following complaints lodged by some media houses regarding the introduction of some illegible players.
The committee after thoroughly investigating the appeal matter have observed that all the participating teams have been a victims of fielding in unqualified players in the tournament.
The committee looked into the issue and decided not to consider any appeal in the interest of the tournament.
