The
Governor of the West Coast Region, Aminata Sifai Hydara, has called on the
district authorities in the region and chairman of Brikama Area Council to
fully support the new President, Adama Barrow, and his government.
At
a meeting in Brikama, Governor Hydara emphasised the need for all to work
together as one family for the development of the country.
She
commended the people of the region for their high sense of maturity, and for
maintaining the peace the country is known for during the political deadlock.
The
chief of Foni Bondali, Bakary Dembo Badjie, the chief of Foni Bintang Karanai
Alfusainey Jarju, the chief of Foni Kansala, Biran Camara, the chief of Foni
Berefet, Alh Junkung Camara, and the chief of Kombo Central, Jammeh K. K.
Bojang, as well as the alkalo of Siffoe village Jerreh Demba, all assured the
governor of their wiliness to work with the new government.
The
chairman of Brikama Area Council, as well as the paramount chief Alhaji Demba
Sanyang, among several speakers, called for unity and understanding in their
region.
They
also spoke of the need to put aside all political differences, and work towards
the socio-economic development of the country.
