Wallidan, Sports House remain unbeaten in basketball tourney

The Serrekunda West Sports Development Association Basketball Tournament which has attracted a good number of basketball lovers in the area, continued to produce some wonderful games and revelation as the tournament enters its fourth week of exciting and fascinating moments.

Wallidan Basketball team is gaining the upper hand in terms of their wonderful performances as they are yet to concede a defeat in four fixtures.

They continued to dominate the lion share of possessions, as well as some brilliant display which saw them winning their last four matches in as many basketball matches.

They are on course to win the title if their outstanding performance is anything to go by.

The side laid a hard fought basketball encounter and in the process went home with all the needed points at the expense of Serrekunda East Basketball team whom they defeated by 36 points to 24 in the Week Four fixtures, at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium on Thursday 21st January 2010, to confirm their four games unbeaten record.

Wallidan again on Friday 22nd January enjoyed another impressive win after beating YMCA by 36 points to 12 before going further to snatch all the maximum points against Ebou Town, who failed to turn up against the inform Wallidan side on Wednesday 3rd February.

Sports House who also remains unbeaten in the tournament are currently enjoying a brilliant start to the campaign with four victories in a row.

They beat Serrekunda East, Ebou Town United, and Serrekunda West and Kanifing South to maintain their 100percent start to the campaign.

Matches will resume on Thursday when the two top sides, Wallidan and Sports House crush against each other at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium, aiming to keep their title hope alive.
