Wallidan still remain hot on their heels in the chase for back to back title glory. Following Coach Foday Bah's decision to use striker Ebrima Sonko's pace against the defence of his opponent which paid dividends after scoring the winner in the 43rd minute of the encounter.
The Hotel club Seaview came all out to frustrate the reigning champions but fell behind in the 43rd minute when Wallidan number 15 Tunkara made a near pass to Ebrima Sonko who swiftly turned to beat his marker before placing the ball in the net of 'Seaview.
In the 58th minute Pa Modou Ngum alias Bass of Seaview FC had Wallidan Goal man Ansumana diving as the former Wallidan hit man sent a fizzing outside 18-yard effort that force Wallidan goal man to guide a fierce strike to corner.
The defending champions have rekindled their quest to defend the league, following formidable performance displayed by the city boys to narrowly edge pass second place Seaview by beating them one nil on Saturday at the Father Gough Sport Complex in Manjai.
After they have played sixteen games Wallidan now bagged 22 points. In their latest match that was played against Seaview who are placed second in the league ranking, Wallidan's coach played a different match plan introducing star striker Ballack in the tail end of the game to kill the game.
The reigning champions now follow closely on the heels of the current leaders hoping that the make mistakes so as to capitalise on the error to close the gap.
Wallidan will play a mouth watering derby game with archrivals Hawks FC to day at the Independence Stadium.
