The blue boys Wallidan poor run form continues in the 2011-2012 Gambia Football Association (GFA) National division one league as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to the newly promoted side Serrekunda United in the week two fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini-stadium on Tuesday.
Wallidan came into the game with zero point following their 2-1 defeat to Young Africans in the opening game of the new season and Serrekunda United came into the game with single points after their drew against fellow promoted-side Hawks in the opening game of the new campaign.
The keenly-contested game showed both sides launched series of assaults in each other’s goal mouth but it was the new promoted side who carried the day after netting three solid goals to bag their victory in the new league season.
Wallidan managed to pull back one but that only proved to be a consolation as they suffered their second successive defeat in a row in the new season.
Young African have maintained their unbeaten in the new campaign after a goalless draw against Bakau United at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
Elsewhere, Gambia Ports Authority were held to a goalless draw by Academy boys Samger in the other week two fixtures played at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium the same day.
Serrekunda United and Young Africans are currently in good standing with each having 4 points in two games.
The Gambia Ports Authority have collected 2 points in two games, while Samger have collected a single point in two games. Bakau United have also collected one point in two games, while Wallidan are with zero point in two outings.
