The academy boys were almost close to clinching their first ever FA cup title until in the 82nd and 84  minutes when Wallidan's  George Cole  and Ebrima Sonko put their team back in the race.

The game which ended 2-2 was decided on penalties which went in favour of Wallidan. They  scored four while Samger registered two goals.

This  result has made Wallidan Champions of both the  2007/08 Gambia Football Association League and FA Cup.  Jubilant Wallidan side went away with a trophy and cash prize of D50,000 while Samger collected D30,000.
