Record champions Wallidan and Banjul United have been promoted to the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) division one league after finishing first and second positions in the 2012-2013 GFF second division league standings.
Wallidan hammered Lamin United 6-1 in the week-seventeen fixture in the GFF second division league played at the Brikama Mini Stadium on Friday to top the league standings with 38 points in seventeen games with a single game to go.
Wallidan have won 11 games, drew 5 and lost a single game against Serrekunda United 1-0.
They also conceded less number of goals in the league, which earned them the promotion to the first division.
Banjul United finished second after a 1-1 draw with Serrekunda East at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to bag 31 points in seventeen games and have been promoted to first division after an impressive performance in the league.
West Coast Region outfit Bombada United have missed promotion to the first tier after sustaining 2-1 defeat to KGI FC at the Brikama Mini Stadium.
Elsewhere, Tallinding United beat Latrikunda United at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda
Lamin United are relegated to the third division after finishing at the bottom of the league table with 13 points in seventeen games.
