champions; Gambia national U-20 team is in strong group of the 2019 WAFU zone A
football tournament.
The
junior Scorpions are in group B alongside Mali, Liberia and Guinea Bissau.
Group
A comprises Guinea Conakry, Mauritania, Senegal and Sierra Leone.
The regional football tournament is set to
begin later this year.
Gambia
won WAFU zone A football tournament title in 2018 after beating Liberia 2-1 in
the final, played in Monrovia.
