Senegalese music star Viviane Ndour is preparing to storm The Gambia this month, as SSHFC puts final touches in place to receive the music superstar.

Expected to arrive at the Banjul International Airport on 28 April, Viviane will take the stage at a gala dinner on 29 April at the Senegambia Beach Hotel.

Other top-notch Gambian artistes like Jaliba Kuyateh, Abdou, Fafa, Freaky Joe, Badibunka, Jali Madi and many other artistes will be featured at the all-night super event.

On 30 April, the international music star will continue the show at Dream Park, followed by another life-never-end show to be orchestrated by the female music star at the next-door parlour - Duplex Night-club.

In a chat with PointEntertainment recently at his office in Banjul, Sheikh Tijan Jobe, President of Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation Staff Association - facilitator of Viviane’s trip to The Gambia, said the coming of the Senegalese music star is organised and sponsored by the management of SSHFC as part of support to the President's call for 'back-to-the-land'.

"I am really confident that we are going to make it," Jobe said, adding that fantastic arrangements have been made to attract a good turnout to the events.

"We have done all the groundwork to see to it that we have it done well," he noted. "The arrangement will be done in various stages and we are in the fourth stage."

The SSHFC staff association president says he has recruited about 25 marketing officers each of whom will have a particular institution to follow up.

Mr Jobe thanked the management of SSHFC, the executive committee staff as well as the general public for supporting the initiative.

He has also sent special thanks to President Yahya Jammeh for His Excellency’s invaluable support to Gambians and for institutionalising the back-to-the-land initiative.

He is also calling on the general public to patronise the programme. "I am urging the general public to come on board and support; this is all part of supporting health, agriculture as well as education, particularly the University of The Gambia," he said.
