Gambian officials attend FIFA-Interpol workshop

Officials of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) are currently in Dakar, Senegal, attending a two-day workshop on the menace of match-fixing, doping and the illicit trafficking of minors using the name of football, according to a media release issued by GFF media officer Bakary B. Baldeh.

The high-level convergence, organized by FIFA in collaboration with Interpol, is taking place in Dakar from 7 to 10 April 2014, the release added.

The Gambia is being represented by GFF President Mustapha Kebbeh, General Secretary Abbas Bah, Technical Director Ebrima Manneh, President of the Referees Association Lamin Camara and GFF/FIFA Security Officer Major Musa Jammeh, the release went on, saying the Ministry of Youth and Sports is represented by the Executive Director of the National Sports Council Abdul Aziz Titao Mendy, who left Banjul for the Senegalese capital of Dakar on Sunday.

The Integrity Workshop is primarily meant to cleanse up and keep away criminals from football, the release concluded.
