Trial of radio manager fails to proceed

The trial of the remanded Taranga FM Radio Station Manager, Abdoulie Ceesay, accused of sedition and publication of false news, did not proceed yesterday before Justice Simeon Ateh Abi of the Banjul High Court.

The case was scheduled for the continuation of cross-examination of the third prosecution witness (PW3), but could not proceed as Justice Abi was said to be attending a workshop at the Gambia Court of Appeal.

The trial continues on 10 December 2015, at 10 am for cross-examination of PW3 to continue.

Abdoulie Ceesay is being tried on a seven-count charge ranging from six counts of sedition to one count of publication of false news.
