Toubakolong Noran tournament continues to gather pace at the Toubakolong football filed.
The tournament has witnessed some exciting moments of football matches since its commencement.
Organised by the Toubakolong Youth and Sports Development Association, the tournament was sponsored by Ousman Sowe, secretary general of the association and manager of Naimbelly.
Bakalarr recently defeated Juffereh 2-0 in a keenly contested encounter at the Toubakolong football ground.
Omar Drammeh opened the scores for Bakalarr FC in the 37th minute of the game while Tijan Manneh sealed the victory for Bakalarr FC in the 56th minute.
On 14 January 2011, at the Toubakolong football field, Naimbelly United beat Sitanunku FC by the same score line.
Samba Sarr, better known as Batch, and Alieu Fofana, alias Mboma, scored Naimbelly United’s goals in the 17th and 59th minutes of the game to earn their sides all the needed points at the expense of their opponents.
On 8 January 2011, Pakau Saloum beat Ron Mango 1-nil at the Toubakolong football field.
The other game in the tournament saw Sitanunku Lodge FC drew 1-1 with Toubakolong United at the Toubakolong football ground recently.
Meanwhile, matches will resume on Friday when Mbantang FC lock horns with Toubakolong United, an encounter expected to be followed by another crucial game between Medina Sedia and Ron Mango FC at the Toubakolong football grounds.
