The Bundung Magistrates' Court presided over by Magistrate Kumba Sillah Camara on 7 October 2008, exonerated three out of four persons in the Zimba's case involving Muhammed Faal, Dodou Jawia Alieu Faal and Ebrima Sanyang.

They were exonerated because of an application made by ASP Camara the prosecuting officer in the case.

ASP Camara informed the court that there was no development in the case and further made an application to amend the charge from murder to man slaughter, adding that all the accused persons' names are to be deleted except Alieu Faal. He therefore withdrew the case against the other three accused persons.

ASP Camara revealed that he withdrew the case because of the recommendation of the file from the IPO and the evidence in the file.

The counsel for the accused persons Edu Gomez said that he had no objection to the application made by the prosecuting office ASP Camara, but he urged the court to exonerate the accused persons.

The presiding Magistrate Kumba Sillah Camara granted the application made by ASP Camara and discharged the three accused persons. She made an order for the second accused person Alieu Faal to be remanded.

It could be recalled that the accused persons were jointly charged for allegedly murdering an 8-year-old boy Ebrima Morrow Ndure, in Bundung Mauritania on 26thJuly 2008, when they staged a Zimba programme in Bundung Mauritania.
