Jean Joof, head coach of Samger FC, has said the league is yet to be over, that Samger will keep fighting to collect points along the way.
Coach Joof side was held goalless against Gambia Ports Authority in the week-twelve fixtures played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Sunday.
The game was well-contested, he said after the game, adding that both teams are still in search of their best performance.
He noted that most of his players are young but have been doing very well in the absence of senior players.
The second round of the league will be very tough, he said, adding that teams that are at the bottom of the table are fighting to pick points along the way.
Hagie Tunkara, assistant coach of GPA, said they prepared well for the game knowing that Samger FC have young talented players.
Collecting a point was not a bad result, he said, adding that the team Samger presented was not a bad side.
He reiterated that the league is yet to be over hence they need to be more focused to be collecting points along the way.
