The Gambia Lawn Tennis Association will stage a two-week open tennis championship set to kick-off at the Independence Stadium in Bakau and the Fajara club, in Fajara on Monday 24th May to Sunday 6th June 2010, a press release from the tennis association has revealed.
The release further stated that the tournament is expected to bring together men's and ladies singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles.
The eligible competitors, the release added, may take part in all events if they wish to do so.
The participants are urged to fill in the entry form available at their school, club or the Independence Stadium and return it to Lamin Drammeh, at the Tennis courts before May 20th to ensure inclusion in the draw.
The release has also indicated that the prizes will be presented to the winners and the runners-up in each section which is open to players at all ratings.
The tournament is not the first of its king to be organised by the association, which is attracting interest from good number of youngsters.
