Africell FC moved on top of the 2009-10 Gambia Football Association (GFA) National Division Two League Championship, following their narrow 1-0 win over Lamin FC in the Week Eleven fixtures on Sunday, at the Brikama Mini-stadium at 3pm.
Africell FC, whose main objective is to return the 1st tier next season were like wounded lion and scored their winning goal through former Gambia U-17 striker, Omar Bojang in the 65th minute of the game.
Lamin FC fought back in the dying minutes of the game and created numerous goal scoring opportunities, but all their opportunities were denied by Africell FC defence line, and thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of Africell FC.
Africell now bagged 18 points and their opponents Lamin FC collected 13 points.
On the same day, at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium, Nema United drew 0-0 with Flamemins FC.
Nema United now collected 13 points, while Flamemins FC is at 11 points.
