Trust Bank Gambia Limited Wednesday presented a cheque for D100,000 to Armitage Senior Secondary School and another cheque of the same amount to St Augustine’s Senior Secondary School to help them procure science materials.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony held the bank’s premises, the Director of Marketing at Trust Bank Limited, Dodou Nyang, underscored the achievements of the bank in terms of helping needy institutions as part of their mandate.

Trust Bank, he said, has been involved in almost all sectors of the country, such as health, sports, culture, education among others.

He added that the bank feels that they owe the people a duty to give back what they own.

That’s why when they received letters from these two schools, they found it necessary to help, especially in the area of science, he said.

Father Bruno, the principal of the St Augustine’s’ Senior Secondary School, said they were happy and elated that Trust Bank had provided science materials to the school.

This had come at the right time when the school was in dire need of help in procuring science materials for its science lab.

Trust Bank General Manager for Banking, Oreme Joiner, said the gesture was part of the bank’s mandate to support education and other sectors.

Their bank believes in giving support to various sectors, especially the education sector targeting senior schools in the country, he said, adding that last year they assisted Gambia Senior Secondary School and this year Armitage Senior Secondary School and St Augustine’s Senior School.

HE said Trust Bank is delighted with the general public for the hope and confidence bestowed on them in delivering quality service and products to them, as well as changing lives through the bank’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.
