One Mabou Darboe of Kerr Sering yesterday testified in the ongoing criminal trial involving Denise Michael and Alagie Cham, who are facing charges of alleged house breaking and stealing before the Brikama Magistrates' Court presided over by Magistrate Fredrick Foster.

Testifying, the fifth prosecution witness Mabou Darboe told the court that on 4th May 2009, while at home one Ousman Sanneh came with a recorder and offered it for sale.

He adduced that he told Ousman Sanneh that he was interested but would take the recorder to check whether it was good. He added that the reason why he did that was to know whether the recorder was his own, because he once lost a similar recorder.

PW5 further testified that when he checked the recorder he found that it was not his but belongs to someone else in Brusibi. He told the court that he then went with the police to Ousman Sanneh and he Ousman told the police that he got the recorder from a Sierra Leonean whose name he had forgotten.

He adduced that Ousman led the police officers to where he got the recorder.

The case was adjourned to the 31st August 2009.
