The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Banjul, yesterday announced the opening of 2013 International Higher Education Scholarship Programmes for application.
A media dispatch issued by the embassy revealed that the scholarship are lodged in 27 fields, including 7 bachelor programmes (four years), 18 master’s programs (two years) and 2 Ph.D. programs (three years).
The programmes are sponsored by Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) and the scholarship package would include 2-way air ticket, tuition and credit fees, insurance, housing and monthly allowances.
It added that each programme has its own deadline of submission falling in between early March and April 2013. Noticeably, this year, the applicant should apply the scholarship on ICDF website (http://www.icdf.org.tw ) and hand over the complete form to the Embassy for recommendation and further processing before March 15th 2013.
More importantly, the release added, the applicants should submit/mail required papers to individual school for admission before each programme’s deadline (according to each schools’ website).
There were 22 scholarship winners from The Gambia in 2012. It is encouraged to visit ICDF online (www.ocdf.org.tw) and individual school’s website for more information, it concluded.
