The
five Supreme Court judges, expected from Nigeria and one from Sierra Leone,
have reportedly not yet arrived in the country.
They
were expected to sit in the country’s constitutional court to adjudicate on
twelve cases, including the election result petition of the APRC party, pending
before the court.
According
to judicial sources, the judges were expected to jet into the country last
Saturday, 7 January 2017, but up to the time of going to press, they have still
not arrived in The Gambia.
The
Supreme Court was scheduled to commence sitting from yesterday, 9 through 19
January 2017.
