The five Supreme Court judges, expected from Nigeria and one from Sierra Leone, have reportedly not yet arrived in the country.

They were expected to sit in the country’s constitutional court to adjudicate on twelve cases, including the election result petition of the APRC party, pending before the court.

According to judicial sources, the judges were expected to jet into the country last Saturday, 7 January 2017, but up to the time of going to press, they have still not arrived in The Gambia.

The Supreme Court was scheduled to commence sitting from yesterday, 9 through 19 January 2017.
