The
2019 Africell-sponsored super nawettan competition will commence tomorrow, at
the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 4.30pm.
Defending
champions Serrekunda East will rub shoulders with Bakau in the opening game,
described by many football admirers in the country as a crunch clash.
The
East boys, who won the annual tournament last year, will affray to triumph over
Bakau in the opening match to keep their hopes of reaching the quarterfinal to
maintain their chances of retaining their super nawettan crown.
The
Beach boys will fray for revenge to clutch the significant three points in the
opening game after losing to Serrekunda East 1-0 in the 2017 super nawettan
quarterfinal, played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.
Bakau returned to the super nawettan this
year after serving their one-year suspension for damaging properties at the
Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda following their quarterfinal defeat
to Serrekunda East.
