Summer classes wrap up in Gunjur

The annual summer classes at Gunjur Kajabang Nursery School in Gunjur village have ended on Friday.

At least 417 students between the ages of 3 – 16 took part in the annual summer classes organised by Team Project Gambia from the United Kingdom.

In interview with The Point newspaper, the coordinator of the project, Denise Barna, said the classes was meant to help students in English language, mathematics and science.

She expressed her delight with the willingness of the pupils to learn, to excel.

Barna explained that the classes also enable them to learn Gambian culture while the students also learn the UK culture.  She said they are committed to continue organising the summer classes.
