Alpha Momodou Jallow, a grade 11 deaf student at the Gambia Muslim Senior Secondary School in Banjul, is seeking support from the government, philanthropists, donors, NGOs and companies to help him attend the Global Deaf conference on Islam, to be held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, slated for February 14 to 16, 2010.
The event being organised by the US-based organisation, Global Deaf Muslims (GDM) and GDM, is hosting the first-ever conference at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) for the world's deaf Muslims.
In an interview with this reporter, Alpha Momodou Jallow said that he is unable to financially support himself to Dubai.
