Following a fire breakout in Saaba village in Lower Badibou District, North Bank Region (NBR), a self-supporting organisation locally called Fang Dema Kafoo has fenced three vegetable gardens for women groups in the area, whose gardens were burnt by inferno.
Mr. Suwareh, Secretary to the group expressed delight at the gesture. In an interview with this reporter, he said vegetable gardening is their sole source of income, noting that to rescue women from their predicament is their main priority.
For his part, Mr. Camara, the President of the group elucidated that the cause of the fire could not be established. He appealed to every civilised member of society to stay away from the malpractice. He said the primary aim of his association is to help the needy and its members in the form of loans.
