Student Seeks For Sponsorship

Lamin D. Bojang, a native of Gunjur Village and a grade ten student of Siffoe Senior Secondary School in Kombo South in the Western Region of the Gambia is seeking assistance from potential individuals and philanthropists to meet the cost of his education, which had sent him out of school for almost two months now.

Lamin, a brilliant student whose ambition is to become highly-educated, is facing serious financial problem which is badly affecting his education.

He appealed to philanthropists, individuals, companies, donors and NGOs to support him so that he can continue his education, because his parents are unable to meet the cost.

Speaking in an interview with our reporter, Lamin said the only constraint facing his educational career is finance, adding that if he can tap sponsorship from donors, philanthropists, individual, NGOs and companies, he would be very delighted.

He revealed that education is the key to success in life and can alleviate a person from poverty and ignorance, and also enable one to contribute to national development.

He promised to study hard to realise his ambition when given the opportunity.
