The seven Gambian journalists, Pap Saine - Co-publisher and Managing Editor of The Point Newspaper, Ebrima Sawaneh - News Editor of The Point Newspaper, Pa Modou Faal - Treasurer of the Gambia Press Union, Bai Emily Touray - Secretary General of the Gambia Press Union, Sam Sarr - Editor of the Foroyaa Newspaper, Sarata Jabbi-Dibba - First Vice President of the Gambia Press Union and Aboubacarr Saidykhan - a reporter with the Foroyaa Newspaper were today Friday 3rd July 2009 remanded again at the State Central Prison - Mile Two.
The seven journalists who appear at The Gambia High Court in Banjul before Justice Wowo a Nigerian born judge remanded the seven accused persons until 8th July 2009 pending the defence counsel filing a formal bail application before the court
Sarata Jabbi-Dibba - First Vice President of the Gambia Press Union (a breast feeding mother) was later granted bail.
